Are Missing Date Codes Brewing Troubles?

The Naked River Brewing Company Couldn’t be Hoppier After Using SNEED-JET ® Infinity Series

It’s Always 5 O’Clock at The Naked River Brewing Company

Now here’s a brewing company that full heartedly believes in making beers as unique as their community; The Naked River Brewing Company has been around since 2018 and since beginning, their passion has allowed them to establish new relationships, ideas, and philosophies. Being an establishment that draws in the dedicated, energetic, adventurous, and beer fanatics, you can only imagine the rate at which this brewing company grew.

Coding isn’t typically the first thing that comes to mind when beer or breweries are mentioned, right? Yet, when you stop and think about it, anytime you’ve gone to crack open a cold one, there’s usually a date either on the neck of the bottle, or on the bottom of the can; why does that matter though? According to the article, Food Safety in Beer Packaging by The New Brewer Journal, “Date Codes are useful for beer quality and stock rotation purposes, but can also be essential to establish traceability.”

The article also mentions that, “a brewer’s primary responsibility remains protecting the customer from physical harm.” Traceability is so crucial in the food and beverage industry because if something were to go wrong with the product, then it’s important to identify when the product was made and what batch or lot was affected, so you can see why a date code, lot code, and batch code are so necessary; not to mention that date codes also help producers and distributors ensure product freshness to their consumers.

What was Brewing Like Before the SNEED-JET ® Infinity Coder?

Growth is something that should be celebrated, but what happens when demand starts to exceed current production capabilities? Jake Raulston, owner of The Naked Brewing Company, knew that with the demand of their craft beers spiking and larger clients requiring date codes, it was time to start looking for a coding solution that could meet their needs and stay within their budget. However, before coming across the SNEED-JET ® Infinity coder, Mr. Raulston mentioned,

“Since we have a very non-uniform canning line, that doesn’t have a steady flow of products, most date coders that were able to fit our needs were far out of price range.”

Was The SNEED-JET ® Infinity Coder Worth It?

Not only was the SNEED-JET ® Infinity coder within The Naked River Brewing Company’s budget, but setting up the printer was actually a lot simpler than one might have imagined.

According to Mr. Raulston,

“The coder was very power on and go; in addition, hardware setup was extremely easy. Being a newer product, the software and positioning had more of a learning curve, but once we saved the profile, there was nothing to do but power on the machine between runs!”

Thanks to The SNEED-JET ® Infinity coder, The Naked River Brewing Company is now able to produce 8,000 prints a day and as a result, the brewery was able to keep their contracts with their larger clients.

Are your production demands exceeding your current capabilities?

Are other coding solutions way out of budget?

The Naked River Brewing Company can attest to the SNEED-JET ® Infinity

coder’s capabilities, but now it’s up to you to put it to the test.
