Adhesion issues resolved with Meenjet JS12 Black

Paul Masterson, owner of Masterson's Catering in Kentucky, reached out to us this summer as he was struggling with his existing inkjet date coding printer's ink not drying on his product. The printer would print just fine, but the ink was smearing or smudging after print as it was not drying fast enough for Paul's production process.

Masterson's is a full scale catering company that has been helping people celebrate their most memorable occasions since 1938. They are one of the largest caterers in all of Kentucky serving over one million meals per year! In addition to catering, they provide pre-packaged meals and this is where the date coding printer is used.

The date coder that was already in place had an ink that did  not dry adequately and Paul was looking for a solution to solve this problem that wouldn't break the bank. After speaking to our team, Paul reviewed the SNEED-JET® Titan T6 Automatic and SNEED-JET® Titan Printer thermal inkjet coding printers to determine which he would try for his application.

Ultimately, Paul chose the Titan printer due to its modular design whereby the controller is separate from the printhead. He also selected our fastest drying, thermal inkjet ink from SNEED-JET®, the ST-301 Black. The ST301 is an ethanol and acetone based ink suitable for most non-porous surfaces such as plastic, metals and glass.

The combination of the Titan thermal inkjet coder with the ST-301 Black ink resolved the issue Paul initially contacted us about, "The printer is working flawlessly!" He has since informed us that he will also be taking a closer look at the portable and handheld inkjet printer from SNEED-JET®, our T6 Handheld printer for date coding boxes in the warehouse.
