Our Order Fulfillment Manager is the Embodiment of Working Hard and Playing Hard, So Let’s Take a Look at His Journey

Tyler’s Sneed Journey

It’s always interesting to hear about how our fellow Sneed members got their start in the company and what steps they took to grow in their field; before our order fulfillment manager attained his position, he joined the team as an order fulfillment associate. Within a short amount of time, Tyler had earned the nickname “Bob the Builder” because his first couple of weeks were spent transporting furniture, deconstructing and constructing racks, putting the desks together, and rearranging stored inventory. Of course being the company handyman was just the beginning; after everything was settled into the new building, Tyler’s journey in order fulfillment finally kicked off.

There seems to be a pattern going on here, all of our award winners for the year originated in Megan’s department, which means that boot camp must really be kicking everyone into gear. After being Bob the Builder, it was time to learn the ins and outs of order fulfillment; during this stage Tyler learned the printer assembly and check-in process, as well as how to process orders. Order fulfillment isn’t the only department that peaked Tyler’s interest, he also took interest in the technical side of the business when he tried his hand at building conveyors and then he moved on to sales when he started cold calling under our VP of Sales and Marketing, Ken. There’s a running joke in the office that anyone that leaves order fulfillment is bound to come back because after exploring different departments within the company, Tyler came back. In order to make sure that Tyler would stay within the order department, Megan promoted him to order fulfillment manager and since then, he’s become one of the department’s strongest pillars.

Becoming an order fulfillment manager takes time, dedication, and a disciplined work ethic, but let’s hear what the man of the hour has to say about his journey here at Sneed and what winning employee of the year meant for him.

  • “There are a lot of hard working employees here at Sneed, so I didn’t expect to win employee of the year, but it feels great to receive that recognition and that honor.”

For employees like Tyler, there’s no such thing as slowing down or becoming complacent, so what comes next after achieving the role of order fulfillment manager?

  • “I started as an associate, then went to lead, and then to manager, so I’d say the next step naturally would be to continue up the chain of command within the order fulfillment department.”

What do Fellow Sneed Members Have to Say?

Hard work definitely doesn’t go unnoticed around here and believe it or not, it’s not just upper management that has realized all of the hard work that Tyler has been putting in; his fellow colleagues have plenty to say as well. So, what’s it like working with Tyler and what made him the ideal recipient for employee of the year?

According to our Vice President of Operations, Megan Sneed

  • “Tyler is truly my right hand and I’m grateful for everything he does. If anyone needs assistance, he’s one of the first ones to get up and help. Not only does Tyler fix problems, but he eliminates the root cause of them and it's all thanks to his analytical thinking; he’s an individual that calculates risk and analyzes every possible option before acting.”

According to our Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ken Mogensen

  • “Tyler is Mr. Reliable, you can always count on him. Even a last minute overnight order that comes in right before the UPS pick up, Tyler will do everything he can to get it on the truck. He's even taken packages to UPS after hours so the customer gets what they need. It's no wonder he's become Megan's right hand.”

According to our Junior Account Manager & former Order Fulfillment Associate, John Longoria

  • “We had a friendship prior to joining the company, which made it all the more easier for Tyler to show me the ropes within order fulfillment; he was a great mentor. Not only does he handle adversity better than anyone here, but he’s a big part of sales, tech, and order fulfillment; from time to time, you’ll see our VPs go to Tyler with a problem and he’ll figure out a solution.”

According to one of our Order Fulfillment Associates, Emily Sanchez,

  • “ Tyler’s the glue of the order fulfillment department and he won employee of the year because he works very hard, finishes tasks within a snap, and he’s great at what he does. It’s fun working with Tyler; he’s cool, funny, and whenever I don’t understand something, he’s very helpful.”

According to one of our Order Fulfillment Associates, Travon Williams,

  • “Tyler is a great source of reference and he’s very knowledgeable, especially when anyone has questions; he’s a workaholic for sure.

According to our Sales, Marketing, and Trade Show Coordinator, Daniel Mogensen,

  • “Tyler’s great to work with and he’s a team player; I can always count on him to get those overnight orders out. He’s fun to work with and he definitely showed that when he hopped on board with forming the softball team.”

According to our Digital Media Specialist, Quinton Huebner

  • “Tyler’s great! I don't work with him a lot, but he’s very helpful when it comes to answering any questions that I may have, especially when it comes to answering the phones and chats. Not only is he helpful when it comes to work, but also when it comes to looking after the plant that we’re co-parenting.”

According to our Content Marketing Copywriter, Alexa Marmolejo

  • “It’s apparent that Tyler is a crucial part of the Sneed team; he knows the ins and outs of each department and overall I’d say he’s a well rounded team member. He’s definitely the definition of work hard, play hard; there are moments where you can tell that he’s in the zone and others where he’s having a laugh with his colleagues.”

Every team member is appreciated here at Sneed Coding Solutions and we wouldn’t be able to run as smoothly as we do without them; however, it’s safe to say, without a doubt, that if anyone deserved to win employee of the year, then it would be Tyler. Make sure to keep an eye out for our next monthly highlight, where we’ll be catching up with our rookies and seeing what they’ve learned about the industry so far.
